A SAFE HARBOR HOME, INC.
Who We Are
While employed by a fellow national non-profit organization, co-founder Lillian Gonzalez often attended meetings addressing social issues in the local community. An incredible need became clearly evident. Domestic Violence victims had no place to go once their limited stay at an emergency shelter was exhausted. She and her husband, Daniel Velez immediately began putting a plan into action.
A Safe Harbor Home, Inc. was founded in 2008 as a 501(c) 3 organization. Based out of Greeneville, Tennessee, we serve victims in Greene, Carter, Hancock, Hawkins, Sullivan, Washington, Johnson and Unicoi counties. It is our mission to equip the victims of domestic violence, their children, and the homeless with a disability, with the necessary tools to empower their lives.
